PCB & electrical faults
Burnt or shorted circuit boards, damaged connectors, and power-surge damage. We replace or repair the PCB and match firmware to the original drive before reconnecting it.
Motor & mechanical failure
Seized spindle motors, stuck platters, and drives that won’t spin up. Diagnosed and repaired inside a controlled clean-room environment to avoid further platter damage.
Head assembly replacement
Clicking, ticking, or grinding drives usually mean a damaged read/write head. We swap in a matched donor head stack and recalibrate before any read attempt.
Firmware & module corruption
Drives that spin but aren’t recognized, report the wrong capacity, or freeze during access. We repair corrupted service areas and firmware modules directly.
Bad sector & surface damage
Sector reallocation and controlled imaging around damaged platter regions, minimizing further wear on the media during repair.
SSD Repair
Controller failure
The most common point of failure in solid-state drives. We diagnose faulty NAND controllers and, where possible, repair or replace them without disturbing the stored data.
NAND chip-level faults
Failing or degraded NAND flash modules on SATA and NVMe drives, addressed with chip-level diagnostics rather than a full write-off.
Firmware corruption
Drives that aren’t detected by BIOS, boot into a frozen state, or report 0GB capacity — often a firmware-level fault, not physical failure.
Power & connector damage
Damaged M.2 pins, SATA connectors, and power-delivery faults caused by electrical surges or physical impact.
TRIM & wear-related failure
Drives nearing end-of-life from write-cycle exhaustion, diagnosed for remaining readable capacity before any recovery attempt.
